Chinese ceramics

Ceramic is a collective term for pottery and porcelain, and it is also a type of handicraft in China. As early as the Neolithic Age, China already had rough and simple colored pottery and black pottery. Pottery and porcelain have different textures and properties. Tao is mainly made of clay with high viscosity and strong plasticity as the main raw material, which is opaque, has fine pores, and weak water absorption, making a loud sound when hit. Porcelain is made of clay, feldspar, and quartz, which is semi transparent, non absorbent, and corrosion-resistant. The substrate is hard and tight, and the knocking sound is crisp. The traditional ceramic arts and crafts in China are of high quality and beauty, with high artistic value, and are well-known worldwide.
